Alyssa Danziger

Alyssa Danziger is an Associate at Katz, Smith & Chwat, PC practicing predominantly in the areas of trusts and estates and corporate law. Alyssa worked with Neil Katz and Lara Chwat at Katz, Bernstein & Katz, LLP before joining them at the new firm. She works with the firm’s partners helping clients with their estate planning documents and estate administration matters, as well as aiding with corporate documents for the firm’s business clients.

Alyssa was motivated to become an attorney from a young age. Her background in finance attracted her to the field of corporate law, and her prior legal experience also includes working as a corporate summer associate for Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, PC in Garden City in 2014. She gained courtroom experience as an intern with the Town of Brookhaven in 2013 and through the Mortgage and Foreclosure Clinic at Touro Law School, where she represented clients facing foreclosure, assisting them with mortgage modification applications and appearing in court to argue on their behalf. She also served as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, where she helped clients with their tax returns. That experience, and her work with financial statements at the Clinic aids her in the work she does for both corporate and estate planning and administration clients.

In May of 2015, Alyssa received her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. While in law school, she was a member of the Honors Program and the Touro Law Review, where she served as Notes & Comments editor, assisting other students in publishing their articles. Alyssa’s own comment, The Facebook Status that Sparked an SEC Investigation: Regulation Fair Disclosure and the Growth of Social Media, was published in the Touro Law Review in October of 2014. A proficient researcher, Alyssa has a professional research certification from LexisNexis, a leading legal information source.

Alyssa received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and minors in French and International Business with Language from the University of Delaware in 2012. She graduated magna cum laude with an Honors degree, and served as Vice President of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
